Master Sgt. Brian Mitchell, left, instructs Senior Airman Luis Mejia Reyes on radar mission control onboard the E-3 Airborne Warning and Control Systems aircraft during Red Flag 21-3 taking place at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. Red Flag, held July 19 through Aug. 6, 2021, provides aircrews the experience of multiple, intensive air combat sorties in the safety of a training environment. The training takes place on the Nevada Test and Training Range, the U.S. Air Force’s premier military training area with more than 12,000 square miles of airspace and 2.9 million acres of land. Nellis is the last stop before warfighters meet adversaries on the battlefield. (Air Force photo by Kimberly Woodruff)
