552nd ACW announces fourth-quarter award winners

The 552nd Air Control Wing held its fourth-quarter awards ceremony in Fannin Hall, Jan. 25.


The 552nd ACW Airman of the fourth-quarter is Senior Airman Jordin. Assigned to the 965th Airborne Air Control Squadron, Airman Jordin is the squadron’s systems technician subject matter expert. He oversees unit systems upgrades training. During this period, he logged 51 instructor hours and certified six deploying crews. Finally, he authored six publication steps for the network liabilities of the $2.4 billion E-3G systems upgrades, saving the 552nd Maintenance Group 200 man-hours.


The 552nd ACW Non-Commisioned Officer of the quarter is Staff Sgt. Brett. A Radar Product Improvement manager for the 552nd MXG, Sergeant Brett is responsible for coordinating modernization and reliability efforts of radar systems on the E-3 Sentry. This award period Sergeant Brett has recouped $2.7 million for the wing and earned an excellent rating in records management in the wing Staff Assistance Visit.


The 552nd ACW Senior Non-Commissioned Officer of the quarter is Master Sgt. Robert. Master Sergeant Robert is a production superintendent in the 552nd Maintenance Squadron. He leads 525 airmen to complete on and off equipment maintenance on 31 E-3 Sentry aircraft and 432 pieces of aerospace ground equipment. During this period, he masterminded the execution of a safety technical training order for E-3 seats resulting in 26 aircraft being fully compliant five months ahead of schedule.


The 552nd ACW Company Grade Officer of the quarter is 1st Lt. Christopher. Assigned to the 552nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Lieutenant Christopher is the White Aircraft Maintenance Unit officer-in-charge for the squadron. During this period, he directed the maintenance effort for a short-notice POTUS support mission for the Asian-Pacific Economic Conference in Peru, where he delivered 48 hours of continuous airborne radar coverage without missing a sortie.


The 552nd ACW Field Grade Officer of the quarter is Maj. Brad. The major is the director of Plans and Resources, 729th Air Control Squadron. He leads five shops, developing and executing unit readiness programs and training for world wide taskings.  During this period, he led an 11-member wing inspection team during a five-day readiness exercise and led the unit’s Exercise Virtual Flag operations.


The 552nd ACW Junior Civilian of the Quarter is Mr. Charles. As the unit program manager in 726th Air Control Squadron, he is responsible for the management of commander support functions that support the 726th ACS Command Reporting Center and all 350 assigned personnel. During this period, he revised process routing and trained new Commander’s Support Staff personnel ensuring positive tracking of 300 administrative items and closed 250 higher headquarter taskers. 


The 552nd ACW Senior Civilian of the Quarter is Ms. Toni. As the Chief of the Special Security Office for the 552nd ACW, Ms. Toni is directly responsible for the wing’s security and foreign disclosure programs. During this period, she assisted in security initiatives for several military construction projects, the development of an information protection office and contingency operations support for combatant commanders.
