552 ACW Hockey Team wins Division 2 title

The 552nd Air Control Wing hockey team won the Division 2 championship May 6 at the Arctic Edge Arena in Edmond, Okla. The team was comprised of Canadian and American players from the 552 ACW.

The 552nd Air Control Wing hockey team won the Division 2 championship May 6 at the Arctic Edge Arena in Edmond, Okla. The team was comprised of Canadian and American players from the 552 ACW.

Tinker AFB, Okla. -- Hockey players from the 552nd Air Control Wing worked together to win the Division 2 Hockey League title May 6, finishing the season with a record of 14-5-2. 

Many of the same players will face off against each other in the first annual CAN/AM Cup, May 15 at the Blazer's Ice Center. The Canadian component players will take on the American component players in honor of the 30 year anniversary of Canadian co-manning in the 552 ACW. 

Admission is free and the puck drops at 6:00 pm.
